This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs use of SalesCentral and is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to you (the Developer), your operators, your Apps, and anyone using your credentials. Capitalised terms have the meaning given in the Terms.
1. General rule
Use the service only for lawful purposes, in line with the Terms, our Privacy Policy, Apple's policies, and applicable law. Do not use it in any way that harms the service, other customers, End Users, or third parties.
2. Prohibited conduct
You must not, and must not permit anyone to:
Illegal or harmful use
- Use the service for anything illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or that infringes others' rights (including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights).
- Support apps or content that are unlawful where offered, or that facilitate harm to others.
Security and integrity
- Upload or transmit malware, or use the service to develop, store, or distribute malicious code.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service, defeat authentication or rate limits, or access endpoints, apps, tokens, or data that are not yours (each app's API key and per-endpoint tokens are scoped to that app only).
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the non-public parts of the service, except where the law expressly permits it.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service, place an unreasonable load on it, or circumvent usage limits.
Data
- Send personal data you have no lawful basis or consent to share, or that belongs to people who have not been given the required notice.
- Send special categories of personal data (e.g. health, biometric, precise/sensitive data) or data of children except in full compliance with applicable law (including COPPA and GDPR rules on children) and Apple's requirements.
- Use the IDFA or tracking data other than as permitted under App Tracking Transparency and the End User's choices.
Commerce abuse
- Submit forged, manipulated, or fraudulent receipts or notifications, or attempt to grant yourself or others entitlements, premium status, or credits you did not legitimately purchase.
- Use the service to launder transactions or misrepresent revenue.
Messaging
- Send push notifications that are spam, deceptive, harassing, unlawful, or that violate Apple's guidelines or the End User's notification choices.
AI features
- Use the AI-assisted features (keyword suggestions, notification translation) to generate unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful content, or to attempt to send End-User personal data into those features (they are intended only for your own app metadata and notification copy).
Misrepresentation
- Imply that SalesCentral is affiliated with, or endorsed by, Apple or any third party, or otherwise misrepresent your relationship with us.
3. Your monitoring obligations
You are responsible for your operators' and Apps' compliance with this AUP and for promptly addressing any violation you become aware of.
4. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access, remove or disable offending configuration, rotate or revoke credentials, or take other action consistent with the Terms. Where practical we will give notice, but we may act immediately to protect the service, other customers, or End Users, or to comply with law.
5. Reporting abuse
Report suspected abuse, security issues, or AUP violations to [email protected] (security) or [email protected] (other concerns).
